Marketing Emails

Version 2026-07-26

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This one is optional

You never have to agree to this. Marketing email is a separate, optional opt-in. It is not one of the agreements required to use NoteHarbor, it is never bundled with them, and the box is never pre-checked.

If you skip it, nothing about your account changes: you get the same product, the same plan, the same price, and the same support. Declining it costs you nothing, and we will not ask again through a nagging prompt.

This document is a general commercial template prepared for NoteHarbor and is subject to review by qualified counsel. It is not legal advice to you.

1. What you are opting in to

If you opt in, Just OK Assets, LLC may email you:

  • new features, improvements, and release notes;
  • product tips, walkthroughs, and how-to content for loan and note servicing;
  • occasional offers, plan changes, promotions, and event or webinar invitations; and
  • customer research invitations and surveys.

We send these at our own reasonable cadence. We are a small company and we would rather send something worth reading than something on a schedule.

2. What this is not

Opting in does not change what happens to your data, and opting out does not cut you off from anything you need.

These messages are transactional and are not marketing. You will keep receiving them while your account is open, whatever your marketing preference:

  • billing: invoices, receipts, payment failures, renewal and price-change notices;
  • account: sign-in, invitation, role, seat, and capacity notices;
  • service: outages, maintenance, and material changes to the Service;
  • security, including any notice of a security incident;
  • legal: changes to the Terms of Service, EULA, or Privacy Policy; and
  • support: replies to something you asked us.

Turning marketing off never suppresses a security or billing notice.

3. What we do with your address

Your email address is the one on your NoteHarbor account. We use it to send the messages described in Section 1 and nothing else.

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address.
  • We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or list vendors.
  • We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We do not email your borrowers, tenants, lenders, or vendors. Their contact details are Customer Data, we handle them only as your service provider, and we never market to them. If they receive an email generated by NoteHarbor, you sent it.

Delivery is handled by our email Sub-processor, which is listed in the Privacy Policy.

4. Turning it off

Withdraw at any time, two ways:

  1. In the app: go to Settings → Your agreements and switch the marketing preference off.
  2. From any marketing email: use the unsubscribe link.

Either way:

  • It is free, and it takes effect promptly. Messages already queued may arrive shortly after.
  • We honor it regardless of your account status — including on a trial that has expired or an account that is read-only. Withdrawing consent is never blocked by billing state.
  • We keep a dated record of the change — including whether you opted in or out, when, and the IP address and browser user-agent at that moment — so that we can prove we honored your choice. That record is kept even after you opt out; keeping it is how we stay accountable.
  • You can opt back in at any time from the same Settings screen.

5. Per-person, not per-company

This preference belongs to you as an individual user, not to your organization. If several people from your company use NoteHarbor, each sets their own preference. Turning yours off does not turn off a colleague's, and no administrator can opt you in on your behalf.

6. The law we follow

We send marketing email in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act, which means every marketing message identifies who sent it, carries a working unsubscribe mechanism and our postal address, and does not use deceptive subject lines. Because NoteHarbor is sold to businesses in the United States, we send marketing only to business contacts who have opted in.

We do not send marketing by text message or automated telephone call.

7. Changes

If we materially change what this opt-in covers, we will update this page at /legal/marketing with a new version identifier and, where the change is material, ask you again rather than assume your old answer still applies.
