Channels are topic-based team chat — like having a private chat room inside NoteHarbor. Find them at Office → Channels (/office/channels).
Create a channel
- Open Office → Channels.
- Click New channel.
- Give it a Name (e.g. "loan-closings") and an optional Description.
- Leave it public, or tick Private channel to limit it to invited members.
- Tick the teammates to Add members, then click Create channel.
Add or remove members
Open the channel and its Members dialog, then toggle teammates on or off. (Owners and Admins manage membership; everyone else sees the member list.)
Post a message
Type in the box at the bottom of the channel and press Enter to send (Shift+Enter for a new line).
@mention to notify
Type @ and start a name, then pick the person from the list. They get a notification — "{you} mentioned you in #{channel}" — that links straight back to your message.
Reply in a thread
Keep side-discussions out of the main flow: reply to a message to start a thread on it. Replies stack under the original message, so a busy channel stays readable while the detail conversation lives one click away.
