The Workspace dock: Notes, Chat & Split

A persistent side dock with your notes and team chat that travels with you on every page — push-aside on desktop, and it remembers how you left it.

Updated July 9, 2026

The Workspace dock is a side panel that stays with you on every page of the app — so you can take notes or talk to your team without leaving the loan you're working.

Open it

Look for the thin Workspace tab on the right edge of the screen and click it. Close the dock with the panel's close button or Escape.

Three modes

The dock's header switches between:

  • Notes — a notes pane with a scope switch: This loan (notes on the loan you have open) or My notes (your general NotePad notes — the same notes as Office → NotePad).
  • Chat — your Office Channels, right in the dock; pick a channel and chat without leaving the page.
  • Split — Notes on top, Chat below, both live.

It pushes, not covers

On a desktop-size screen the open dock pushes the page aside rather than covering it — your content reflows next to the dock so you keep reading and clicking while it's open (the Note Bot bubble slides left too, staying reachable). On small screens it opens full-width instead.

It remembers

Open/closed, the mode, the notes scope, and your selected chat channel all persist in your browser, so the dock comes back exactly how you left it — even across page changes and visits.

The dock is a companion surface: notes land in the same places as NotePad and the loan's Notes, and chat is the same Channels — nothing lives only in the dock.
