Customizing your left menu

Hide the sidebar items you never use and reorder the rest, so the menu only shows what matters to your business.

Updated August 30, 2026

Not every organization uses every part of NoteHarbor. If you don't handle disbursements, or you never touch Rent-to-Own, you can tuck those items out of the way instead of scrolling past them every day.

Turning it on

At the bottom of the sidebar, click Customize menu. Every item gets two small controls:

  • An eye icon to hide or show it.
  • Up and down arrows to move it higher or lower in the list.

Hidden items stay visible while you're customizing, dimmed, so you can find and bring them back later. Click Done when you're finished, and your sidebar shows only what you kept.

It's just for you

Your hidden and reordered items are saved in your browser, not shared with your teammates. Everyone on your team can set the menu up their own way, and switching organizations keeps each org's layout separate.

Nothing is ever out of reach

Hiding an item only tidies the menu. Every page is still there if you type or bookmark its address directly, and a future feature you haven't customized yet will always show up in its normal spot, never hidden by surprise.

Starting over

If the menu ever feels off, click Customize menu and then Reset to default to put every item back the way it started.
