Note Bot

Explain issues in plain English, search the help center, and ask about your open loan — with sensitive data walled off.

Updated July 9, 2026

Not sure what an error means, where something lives, or how your open loan looks? Open Note Bot from the sparkle button in the corner and just ask. Note Bot is included free on every plan. (For AI PDF import and county tax-record extraction, see the paid Deep Analysis add-on.)

Explains things in plain English

Ask Note Bot to explain an error, a notice, or a servicing concept — escrow, suspense, the payment waterfall, amortization, wraps — and it answers in plain language.

Searches the help center

Ask a how-to ("how do I run an escrow analysis?", "how do I record a payoff?") and Note Bot answers from the NoteHarbor help center and links you to the right guide.

Answers about what you're looking at

Note Bot is page-aware: on a loan it can answer about that loan — balance, rate, payment, next due date, escrow, delinquency, payment history — and on other screens (a borrower, a property, Reports) it knows what you're viewing and which tab you're on.

Minimize — don't lose the conversation

Mid-conversation but need the screen back?

  • Minimize with the button in the panel header, by pressing Escape, or by clicking the launcher bubble itself. The panel hides but the conversation survives.
  • A green dot appears on the sparkle launcher — a conversation is waiting. Click the launcher to pick up exactly where you left off.
  • The X ends the conversation (it asks first when there's a transcript to lose). Use minimize to step away; use X when you're done.

Escape deliberately minimizes rather than closes here — a stray keypress should never discard your conversation.

When you need a human

A "Need more help? Contact support" link sits at the bottom of the panel and goes straight to opening a ticket. After a long session, Note Bot may also suggest support on its own — it never stops answering, it just offers the handoff.

What it can't see

Note Bot works from non-sensitive data only. It never has access to tax IDs, SSNs/EINs, or borrower personal details, so it can't share those — that's by design. It's also scoped to your own organization and never surfaces another tenant's loans.

AI answers can be wrong — verify important figures. It doesn't give legal or tax advice.
