Late-payment color-coding on the Payments tab

Late and short payments are tinted on the Payments tab, with a 'Late' badge, so problem payments stand out at a glance.

Updated June 30, 2026

The loan's Payments tab tints each row so you can read a loan's payment health without doing the math.

What the colors mean

  • Red row, "Late" badge — the payment satisfied an installment past its due date plus grace, or carried a late charge. The badge reads Late · fee assessed or Paid late.
  • Amber row, ringed, with a triangle — the payment that set the loan behind its schedule. It's labeled Fell behind here; click it for the full explanation (see Why a payment fell behind).
  • Yellow row — a short payment, or one held in suspense (flagged In Suspense).
  • Blue row — an overpayment, with the excess destination noted (e.g. Excess → principal).
  • Struck-through, faded — a reversed payment.

Why it helps

A wall of plain rows hides trouble; a few red and amber rows tell you instantly which payments need attention. The tints read straight off the real payment record, so they always match the loan's actual history.

See Delinquency tracking for how a loan is flagged delinquent overall, and Why a payment fell behind & how it was applied for the per-payment breakdown.
