Payment methods: Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal & more

Record a payment by Check, ACH, Wire, Cashier's Check, Money Order, Cash, Online Portal, Auto Draft, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, or Physical Deposit.

Updated June 30, 2026

When you Record Payment, pick the method the borrower used so each payment row reflects how the money actually arrived.

The full list

NoteHarbor supports the rails you actually get paid on:

  • Check
  • ACH
  • Wire Transfer
  • Cashier's Check
  • Money Order
  • Cash
  • Online Portal
  • Auto Draft
  • Venmo
  • Cash App
  • Zelle
  • PayPal
  • Physical Deposit

The peer-to-peer apps — Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, and PayPal — and Physical Deposit sit right alongside the traditional methods in the dropdown, so a borrower who pays you on an app is recorded accurately instead of lumped under "Other."

Where it shows

The method appears in the Method column on the loan's Payments tab, each with its own icon, so you can scan how a borrower tends to pay.

Pair the method with Deposited to (bank account) to tag where the funds landed — see Bank accounts: deposited-to & remit-from.
